ON AIR TALENT

Richard "Steven" Fisher  - Phoenix, AZ - Owner, Director of Operations 

Steven has been in the radio business on and off since 1990.  He started DJing at  High School and Church Activities, which eventually lead to him being hired in 1990 by radio station KSIL - AM in Silver City, NM.  He then moved to Las Cruces, NM where he was hired by radio station KGRT - AM/FM, and became the Assistant Engineer and fill-in DJ at NMSU's student radio station KRUX - FM.  After being out of the system for a while, and the boom of Internet Radio in 2004, he was discovered by CMP Radio, which started his Internet Radio career, and now has been on Radio Gets Wild, QMR.FM, Pipeline Radio and Rock Nation Radio.  Classic Rock, 80's Rock , Hard Rock, Hair Rock, and just plain ROCK is his mode.

Brett Cross - Silver City, NM - Program Director 

Brett "The Crazy Cuda" has never worked in radio, but you'd never know.  He started his DJ carreer during High School and continued as a Club DJ in the 90's and has always been a music conasuer.  Not only that, but he has the gift of gab.  Brett's fortes include Country/Western, Industrial Dance mixing, Rock, and being a general goof. 

  Wyatt Jennings - San Francisco, CA - Production Director

Wyatt Jennings gave up on professional radio with their musical formats in 1998 when he resigned from KSAN in San Francisco. (The Bone).  X Rock 80 asked…”Why are you doing this? After all, you were on the air at KLIV, KRVE, KSJO, KQAK, KKBB, KEST, KVFX, KKXX, KCFX, KZZC, KITS (Live 105), KATM (Kat Country) and KHOP". Jennings said, “ I abandoned professional radio because I was fed up with playing the same songs over and over, and worse, being told how to think and what to say. I am convinced that for the time being, internet radio is the only way to regain my creative freedom back. As Al Pacino said in the movie Scent of a Woman…”I’m just gettin’ warmed up!”

Darren Jackson - Ashby De La Zouche, UK (Ashby Radio*) studio@ashbyradio.co.uk

Darren has been a friend since 2004, although we have never actually met.  He has been an inspiration to many in the world of Internet and Broadcast Radio and has been kind enough to allow us to "import" is signature show "The Session".   (*Advertisements heard during Darren's shows  are incidental to the syndicated broadcast on X Rock 80 and do not offer any financial gain to X Rock 80)

Shawn "Native" Tayrole  - Tulsa, OK

The Almighty Groove - If it grooves, it get's played... nuff said!!  Bone crushing rock (Explicit)!!

The Unknown DJ - Unknown, USA

No one is certain about the background of the Unknown DJ, as his identity is obviously Unknown. However, we a few theories.  One is that he may have ridden on horseback from Kansas City, after being involved in one too many gun slinging duels with his ex program directors. Another is that he is on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list. He has been fired from over 7 pro FM stations for many different escapades he pulled, to include something about being on the air naked, a bowl of jello, and a Doris Day record... Anyway, we decided that kind of inspired indulgence was perfect for X Rock 80!

The Unknown DJ broadcasts through special audio software and obviously disguises his voice, although each broadcast is always spontaneous and live. Unknown enjoys a reclusive lifestyle nestled somewhere in the Rocky Mountains.  X Rock 80 knows that one thing is blatantly clear…he loves Rock’n’Roll and his programming is never boring or repetitive.
